What started out as a small group of racers tackling the trails of Johnson Valley in their homebuilt rigs has now grown into a massive gathering of tens of thousands of off-road racers, vendors and enthusiasts. The King of the Hammers has grown to be known as one of the toughest, most brutal off-road races in the world. Blending the challenge of rock crawling and desert racing, Ultra4 Racing has continued to push the envelope for King of the Hammers each year, making sure that racing against fellow competitors is secondary to simply surviving the challenges that the Johnson Valley course offers. 

Similar to recent years, the Means Dry Lake Bed will host a plethora of activities and events during this week’s 2016 Nitto King of the Hammers, Presented by Optima Batteries, with the key attraction being on Friday for the King of the Hammers race.
